This is an official Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, History of Nantes Museum application.
A videoguided tour of the History of Nantes Museum
This guide application for visiting the castle-museum allows you to discover the 32 exhibition rooms of the History of Nantes Museum. The 15th-century architecture is highlighted by contemporary scenography that includes 850 collection items and is further enhanced by multimedia features. A portrait of the city emerges, as landmark events in European and World history are recounted, from the Edict of Nantes to the rise of colonial markets and slave trading all the way up to the turmoil of the 20th century.
This guide application is chronological and thematic. Two types of commentary are proposed: An introductory sequence to each room allows you to get a broader historical perspective of the subject at hand, while a series of punctual sequences shed new and additional light on a particular object, display case or architectural element featured in a given room.
This content is also available on videoguides that can be rented or downloaded free of charge via Wi-Fi at the Museum reception desk.
